VLOG: Tangled
With the site upgrade, I figured I should put up another video. Booya. My thoughts on Disney's Tangled.
thanks for the heads up. I guess I know what to go see tomorrow for $5.00 movie Tuesday. Last one was a bust. I would have rather sat through Twilight twice than seen that Harry Potter movie. Fans won't miss anything if they just watch the next one.
Did you know that Lewis wrote in the letter dated Dec. 18, 1959, “I am absolutely opposed ... to a TV version. Anthropomorphic animals, when taken out of narrative into actual visibility, always turn into buffoonery or nightmare.” Speaking about a TV version of Narnia?
What you referred to as a cliche at the climax is actually an interpretation of the ending to the original Grimm fairytale.
ReplyDeleteTHAT is a very cool note. I didn't know that at all. Doesn't make it less of a movie cliche, but it does put it in proper perspective.

ReplyDeleteHeh, quite possibly. Lewis ALSO wrote Narnia as a small scale story, not the grand adventures they are being portrayed as.
